The professor blinked once or twice and nodded regaly. “That is a question more suited to the philosophy masters, but you may be on to something. Science was once called the philosophy of nature.”

After another pause, the lecture recovered and staggered on. Ari hunched over his desk, elbows propped on the tabletop.…[Read more]

Awesome! It’s a wonderful little book. Hope you enjoy!

@elishavet-pidyon

Sounds like a good plan. I know it’s hard to find time to read during the semester. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. 😉

Mothy…..0_0

Ari

The silence stretched thin. A boy three seats ahead elbowed his neighbor and glanced back at Moth with an amused smirk. Moth shrank a little further into himself.

Ari’s eyes went black. He locked gaze with the back of the boy’s head. Slowly, the boy turned to look. The color drained from his face.

is this chef good or bad?

Hmmm…

Every time I start to like him, he gives me creeper feelings.

Good, good. Trust your feelings.

Just a note: in my head the kitchens are built kinda like a star, with specialized kitchens branching off from the main room where LeQoi can survey everyone’s work at much the same time, or go from kitchen to kitchen as he likes. And he will absolutely be checking in on Callum and teaching…just perhaps not is a perfectly normal…[Read more]

LeQoi

Fresh, sweet, and undeniably irresistible. The bread would do. A gracious flick of his fingers to the trembling kitchenmaid saw the basket of steaming challah whisked away back into the whir of luncheon preparation.

Now for another sampling. The master chef’s chocolate drop gaze landed on a boy standing six feet away. Ah y…[Read more]

GUYS. IT’S REMINGTON’S TWIN.

*Screaming intensifies*

You’ll be happy to know, Kavi, that the kitchen is enormous and filled with all the best foods. And lots of it.

The kitchens are also presided over by a questionable master chef named LeQoi. Which reminds me he hasn’t said much is some time…

First week of November! It’s time for our book discussion question, but first I want to check in with y’all.

How are things going? Any troubles finding the book or finding time to read? Any thoughts or rabbit trails?

*Thoughtful humming*

Here’s the question: What are two bits of this book that…

Absolutely! Introduce your character and toss him in! There’s several groups and single characters scattered around the school right now. You can either prick one to plop your character with, or find something who’s on their own.

If you’re a bit baffled with how this works, Whaley wrote a lovely explanation post about rope…[Read more]

Welcome to the Kingdom! I mostly write middle-grade fantasy and the random poem–besides living life as a full-time university student. I love history, languages, cultural studies, hand-crafting, and bread.

Oi, I love a good fairytale. How would you describe your writing in terms of aesthetics or colors?

I see you appear to be…[Read more]

Ok, just curious, because I don’t agree on the necessity of physical baptism for salvation… what is your view of what happened with the thief on the cross then?

“One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “…

Ligjt streamed in through high arched windows. Dustmotes drifted in the scattered rays. Voices hummed and bubbled as students slid into seats. Perfectly climbable shelves lined the entire far wall–although the school would likely not agree with that assessment. Ari hovered just inside the door.

The teacher’s smile…[Read more]

@whalekeeper maybe, but idk about that

also yeah we are never getting over that lol

On the topic of “farted in the halls,” to be fair this is an all boys school, right?

when my brother was in an all boys group, he would repeatedly come back with wild stories, and everyone in the halls farting or at least making fart noises at each other is exactly the sorta thing they would’ve done lolllll

@loopylin

Oh my word. Yes that’s a typo. Why do the ‘d’ and ‘f’ keys have to be next to each other?? XI

@beth-torres

Glad it gave you joy. I shall go fix it, thank you. You may resume maturity.

I would like to point out to Ellis that Ari has not said he was going to class.

After another moment of hesitation, he finally managed to stepntowards the door. Perhaps walking with Moth would be enough. At the least, he knew where the chemistry classes were held. They wouldn’t be lost to the tangle of ordered…[Read more]
